Umezurike S. C. is an author, lecturer, a chartered banker, management consultant and accountant by profession. He is the founder and managing consultant of Samuel Chimaobi & Associates, a management consulting firm set up to deliver value added services in strategic financial management, analysis taxation, financial reporting, accounting, internal audit, entrepreneurship development and other related services. He is also the proprietor of SWOT ACADEMY, a foremost professional Human Resource management Training outfit established in 11th November, 2010.

Umezurike S. C. has a chain of authorships and years of practical experience to his credit. An Associate member of the Chartered Institute of Bankers, Nigeria (ACIB) and Institute of commercial management, London (AICM); Fellow of Cost and Executive Accountants (FCEA)  Fellow of Chartered Institute of Management Accountants of Nigeria (FCMAN). Umezurike is also an Insurance professional. While in UK, he had a stint with the Lloyds Group and later returned to Nigeria to hold a number of executive managerial positions. His professional career which spanned about twenty seven (27) years started at Anthony Chikwendu & co. (chartered Accountants) where he rose to the position of senior manager. He was at various times the Head of Department of  accounting in a Polytechnic, practicing lecturer, Nigeria College of Accountancy (ANAN); Group Accountant, Mononia (Nig.) Limited; Chief Accountant Fenok Industries Limited and before then, worked with First Bank (Nig) PLc.

A man of insatiable appetite for intellect, Umezurike S. C. has BSC degree in Economics and a master of Business Administration (MBA) in Finance.

Umezurike S. C. is currently the Head of Education/training Chartered Institute of Management Accountants of Nigeria – an organ of the Institute which has the responsibility of member skill development with the aim of enhancing effective performance. He is also the chairman Education Board Committee of CIMA. Umezurike S. C. has presented papers at seminars organised by the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants of Nigeria; CIA Research Ltd and other management development Institutions, some of which have been published in professional journals. He has authored and co-authored a number of books which includes: practice and Revision Text on management Accounting, Nigeria, Tax and Tax Management; Auditing the update, Insurance (the origin, procedures and Application), Fundamentals of Public Sector Accounting and Know computer Now.
